The North Canyon Primary Care Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated Specialty Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Columbus, Georgia. Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite in a hospital setting, where collaboration and communication with a multidisciplinary team are essential. The clinic provides a supportive atmosphere with an emphasis on quality care and continuous improvement. The office operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, including occasional evening shifts as needed. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations, taking patient histories and reviewing previous medical records to ensure comprehensive understanding of health backgrounds.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, which may include blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute health conditions, illnesses, and injuries, providing timely and appropriate medical interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, monitoring their progress, and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Prescribe medications and treatments, closely monitoring their effectiveness while educating patients on potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Maintain organized, detailed documentation of patient encounters within our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Engage patients and their families in conversations about disease prevention, health management, and lifestyle choices that support overall well-being.
• Promote health education initiatives within the community, highlighting topics such as immunizations, nutrition, and exercise.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and relevant training programs to stay current with best practices in healthcare.

The Physician Assistant at North Canyon Primary Care Clinic will work with a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals of all ages, from children to seniors. The clinic is equipped to address various health concerns, including but not limited to chronic illnesses, acute injuries, preventive health services, and routine check-ups. Qualifications

• A current, valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is mandatory for this role.
• A DEA number is required to prescribe medications.

• Proficient understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance protocols, guaranteeing patient confidentiality and safety.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
