Role Description
We're looking for a Senior Financial Modeler for a US-based AI tech company building specialized agents for complex, real-world financial workflows. If you are detail-oriented and highly autonomous with Excel and financial modeling, keep reading!
- Build, review, and optimize complex end-to-end financial models (integrated IS/BS/CF) across areas including corporate finance, private equity/LBO, investment banking, valuation, and credit.
- Develop advanced modeling components including revenue builds, detailed growth drivers, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and capital structure/cost of capital work.
- Design and solve real-world financial problem sets for the platform, ensuring technical depth, accuracy, and internal consistency.
- Stress-test and improve financial models and exercises created by internal teams and other subject matter experts.
- Provide ongoing QA, debugging, and continuous refinement of financial content on the platform.
- Collaborate with finance experts and developers to ensure model integrity, documentation, and scalability.
Qualifications
- 2 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, transaction services, valuation, risk, or a related technical finance role.
- Proven track record building complete, integrated financial models from scratch, including three-statement models, DCF, comparable analysis, and scenario/sensitivity work.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, dynamic modeling, and multi-tab linked models.
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and accounting principles and how they flow through the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Strong discipline around model structure, checks, and documentation.
- High attention to detail and a very high bar for the quality of your own work.
- Ability to work independently, own projects end-to-end, and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Experience designing or reviewing technical case studies, modeling tests, or training content for finance professionals.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- CFA, CPA, or similar certification.
- Experience mentoring or leading other analysts or associates.
- Familiarity with programming, automation, or data tools that interact with financial models.
