CT Technologist

Location: New York, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM

Travel Gross Weekly: $2,900–$3,100/week (based on experience)
Local Rate: $75–$80/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures according to established protocols while ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, patient safety, and compliance with radiation safety standards.

Schedule Note: This is an overnight position. The technologist must be CT certified and injection certified . The position may also require performing general X-ray procedures during the overnight shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Select and utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality-control and equipment calibration checks before conducting patient examinations.
• Assess and respond appropriately to patient needs before, during, and after radiology procedures.
• Administer contrast agents to patients as ordered by the physician and in accordance with established protocols.
• Verify patient information, procedure requirements, and applicable safety protocols prior to contrast administration.
• Perform required quality-control, quality-assurance, and safety testing.
• Follow radiation safety practices and the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle.
• Maintain accurate department documentation, including logs, manuals, charge documents, and equipment-related reports.
• Report equipment malfunctions and other technical issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain, retrieve, and transmit patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure all imaging studies are properly documented and available for interpretation.
• Perform general X-ray procedures when required during overnight coverage.
• Maintain compliance with applicable departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and protocols.
• Ability to perform CT examinations accurately and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
• Ability to assess patient needs and respond appropriately throughout the imaging process.
• CT certification required.
• Contrast/injection certification required.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Required Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology .

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current New York State License – Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) .
• ARRT Certification .
• BLS Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) .
