School Licensed Practical Nurse - El Cajon, California

Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This rewarding opportunity provides Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) the chance to make a direct impact in a supportive school setting. Multiple positions are available, including both full-time and part-time options designed to fit a variety of schedules.

Schedule Options:

Full-time: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week (office support, medication administration)
Part-time: 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday, diabetic student monitoring, office support—not a 1:1 role, medication administration as needed)
Part-time: 1 day per week (Monday, office support, medication administration)

Qualifications and Experience:

Active LPN or LVN license, eligible to practice in California
Experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare environment preferred
Comfortable with medication administration and providing basic student healthcare support
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and adapt to varied student needs
Current CPR/BLS certification

Role Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records
Support the health office with daily clinical operations
Provide care to students with chronic health conditions, including monitoring and responding to diabetic needs
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff
Uphold privacy and regulatory compliance in line with school and state requirements
Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes student well-being
