Business Development Manager – Northrop Grumman NIC Division Northrop Grumman’s Mission System’s Navigation, Intelligence & Connectivity (NIC) Division is seeking a Business Development Manager to support our NSA portfolio. As part of a team dedicated to winning new business and market development, the successful candidate will lead customer engagement and cross‑company collaboration to drive capture wins and new awards. Day‑to‑day activities include customer engagement planning, pipeline management, opportunity architecting, developing strategic partnerships, and new business investment management. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD. Acceptable exceptions to this location are: Annapolis Junction MD, Baltimore, Chantilly, and Fairfax. Relocation assistance: No relocation assistance available Clearance required for start: Yes Clearance type: Polygraph Travel: Yes, 25% of the time Key Responsibilities Cultivate, grow, and maintain customer relationships. Create and execute customer engagement plans; serve as point of contact for government and customer organizations; report results of customer activities and engagements. Translate customer needs into specific requirements and identify / tailor company services and solutions into offerings. Support annual and long‑range strategic planning. Identify and manage a business pipeline of opportunities; assess and evaluate near‑term and long‑term business opportunities; align pursuit activities for optimal cost efficiency. Lead responses to customer Requests for Information (RFI) and support capture efforts in support of customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), including new franchise opportunities. Provide observations, insights and analysis of trends and opportunities in the market in the form of written reports and presentations. Conduct market and opportunity research, analysis and business case development, including competitor analysis, opportunities, and budgets. Identify key portfolio differentiators and win themes that create and shape new business. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or 8 years with a Master’s; alternatively, equivalent military or business and program experience in lieu of formal business development experience is accepted. Experience in, and established relationships working with, Cryptography, SIGINT, Offensive/Defensive Cyber and IC customer communities. Knowledge of DoD/IC requirements, programming, budgeting, and acquisition processes. Dynamic self‑starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, strategic thinking with respect to customer needs, competitive positioning, and the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills that ensure collaborative and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and technical experts. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver executive‑level presentations. Experience leading teams. US Citizenship with a current TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph with the NSA. Strong capture and opportunity pipeline management skills. Preferred Qualifications Pre‑existing network of relationships within the IC Community. Advanced degree in a business or technical discipline. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to identify and qualify new program opportunities, and to develop and implement creative approaches for executing early‑phase program activities. Thorough knowledge of government procurement and business development processes; experience in business development success across the phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Experience in requirements development, program management, and acquisition is desired. Experience with Salesforce. Demonstrated ability within the intelligence community cultivating a pipeline of Development and Technical Operations programs. Salary & Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $175,400.00 – $263,200.00. The above range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and Long Term Incentives.
