ICU Registered Nurse - Day Shift - Metairie, LA

• Experience: 2+ years ICU experience, Epic EMR experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
• Float to various ICU units, ED, PACU, and MS/PCU as needed
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Servo ventilators, Fresenius dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences monitors, and more
• Follow infection control protocols, including care for isolation patients and proper use of N95 masks
• Support patients through complex treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain documentation and clinical records accurately, adhering to hospital policies

What You Need
Required:

• Active ICU nursing license in Louisiana
• 2+ years ICU experience with Epic EMR familiarity
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH (CPI can be obtained at the facility)
• Ability to float to all ICU units and handle various patient acuities
• Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and adaptability

Preferred:

• Experience caring for COVID-19 and other isolation patients
• Previous float pool experience within a hospital setting
