Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Fabrication Sales

Location: Remote - TX or LA

Summary/Objective The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for identifying and developing business relationships with division’s key customer groups - marine contractors, engineering firms, and municipalities. As the RSM, you will take the lead in driving new business opportunities that support CMI’s overall growth strategy in the aluminum fabrication division. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for sales and a track record of success who can drive opportunities from project inception to completion. The RSM will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales departments to grow market share in assigned territory and generate top line revenue.

Essential Functions

• Develop pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires thorough knowledge of the marketplace, product offerings, and company capabilities.

• Executes tactics to support overall region and company strategic goals by identifying potential sales opportunities.

• Develops and maintains business relationships with key customer groups in target markets to ensure deep market penetration and establish CMI Fabrication as manufacturer of choice for bridge and marine access projects (marinas).

• Work closely with Marketing Director to support overall Fabrication Marketing campaign.

• Works cross functionally with internal resources; Engineering, Operations, and Sales to bring viable solutions for customer’s needs to win business.

• Perform other such duties, appropriate to the role, as may be required by the Fabrication General Manager.

Travel

50% travel in assigned territory, some overnight travel as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of outside sales experience in commercial construction either as a contractor, manufacturer, or distributer (prefer experience working with contractors, engineers, and architects) with a history of growing sales, exceeding goals and penetrating markets.

• Civil Engineering/ Civil Construction background a bonus

• 2 years of project management experience – preferably in a construction related field.

• 4-year degree. Additional sales experience considered in lieu of degree

• MS Office proficient

• Experience leading technical product presentations to engineering firms, municipalities, large contractors, etc.

• Must live in territory – Texas or Louisiana

Compensation

Base - $85,000.00 - $95,000.00, plus commissions and bonus
