We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Vienna-based finance team and support the continued growth of Bybit EU’s regulated operations.

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our Vienna-based Finance team and support the continued growth of Bybit EU’s regulated operations.
• This role will be responsible for managing corporate income tax, withholding tax, tax governance, tax audits, and broader tax advisory matters within a rapidly growing and highly regulated fintech environment. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure robust tax compliance while supporting strategic business initiatives across Europe.
• Beyond traditional tax responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to help shape the tax operating model of one of Europe’s leading digital asset platforms and contribute to the development of scalable processes in a fast-evolving industry.

• Lead and oversee direct tax compliance activities across multiple European entities, including corporate income tax and withholding tax obligations
• Support the tax setup and ongoing compliance of newly licensed and regulated entities under MiCAR, EMI, and MiFID frameworks.
• Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of corporate income tax returns, tax provisions, and related tax reporting requirements
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities across relevant jurisdictions
• Support tax audits, tax authority inquiries, and regulatory reviews
• Provide tax advice on business initiatives, new products, corporate projects, and operational changes
• Monitor developments in Austrian, European, and international tax legislation and assess potential business impacts
• Support transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and cross-border tax matters
• Maintain and enhance tax governance frameworks, internal controls, and tax risk management processes
• Collaborate closely with Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams on tax-related matters
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and the implementation of scalable tax processes across the organisation
• Support strategic projects, corporate restructurings, licensing initiatives, and expansion activities from a tax perspective

• 6+ years of experience in direct tax, corporate tax, or international tax, ideally within financial services, fintech, crypto, banking, payments, or a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of Austrian corporate income tax, withholding tax, and general international tax principles
• Experience managing tax audits and interacting with tax authorities and external advisors
• Solid understanding of tax reporting, tax accounting, and tax risk management processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable collaborating across Finance, Legal, Compliance, and operational teams
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is considered a plus
• Experience gained within a Big 4 tax practice, international tax advisory firm, financial institution, or multinational corporate tax function is considered a strong advantage
• Professional fluency in English is required; German is considered a strong advantage

• Experience within financial services, fintech, payments, or digital asset businesses
• Exposure to transfer pricing and international group structures
• Knowledge of crypto asset taxation and emerging European regulatory frameworks
• Experience supporting regulated entities and interacting with supervisory authorities
