Work Environment

Located in sunny Sarasota, FL, our practice operates in an onsite home care setting, allowing you to provide personalized attention in patients' homes while ensuring the highest standards of care. You will be part of a close-knit team that includes two skilled physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working together to create a harmonious atmosphere focused on patient-centric outcomes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a balance between your professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' physical abilities and design individualized treatment plans to meet their goals.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, seeing one patient per hour to provide quality care.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and implement tailored exercise protocols to enhance patient recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a patient's well-being.
• Document all patient interactions, maintaining accurate records in EMR software (specifically WebPT).
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, communicating status updates to both patients and team members.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by educating patients on injury prevention, wellness strategies, and home exercise programs.
• Encourage patients by motivating them throughout their treatment journey, providing support and cultivating a positive mindset.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients, including athletes recovering from injuries, post-surgical patients, and individuals managing chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele, tailoring your treatment strategies to meet their unique challenges and aspirations. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their functional capabilities, enhancing their overall mobility, and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must hold a valid Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Maintain a clean professional record with no board or disciplinary issues.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a deep understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• Competence in developing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using EMR Software, with a strong preference for experience with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of managing a diverse patient caseload with varying needs.
• Experience in home health care environments and knowledge of best practices in patient-centered rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
