Position Overview Johnson Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our Chicago office. This role is well-suited for an attorney with 5 to 7 years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience who is comfortable managing cases independently while working within a structured, team-oriented environment. The position involves handling matters from intake through resolution while providing exceptional client advocacy throughout the litigation process. Key Responsibilities Manage personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial Evaluate claims, assess liability and damages, and develop case strategy Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and factual analysis related to personal injury matters Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and hearings Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable resolutions on behalf of clients Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the firm’s case management system Required Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Active and good standing membership with the Illinois State Bar Minimum of 5 to 7 years of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred) Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively Commitment to client service and professional excellence Preferred Qualifications Experience handling depositions, mediations, and hearings Trial experience preferred but not required Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required Why Join Johnson Law Group Meaningful plaintiff-side work advocating for injured clients Collaborative and team-oriented legal environment Opportunities for continued professional growth and advancement Values-driven culture grounded in integrity, accountability, and client service Equal Employment Opportunity Johnson Law Group is an equal opportunity employer.
