Mental Health Program Manager I-Public Defender

Job Overview Designation: Licensed Mental Health Program Manager Location: San Bernardino County Public Defender's Office Responsibilities Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of mental health services for Public Defender clients. Facilitate multidisciplinary meetings and evaluate program effectiveness. Ensure timely creation of treatment plans and develop client‑centered strategies for transition from custody into mental health services. Directly supervise the Clinical Therapist and provide supervision hours for the Social Service Practitioner Unit. Conduct clinical evaluations for the Mental Health Diversion Program to determine if clients meet criteria and testify on findings if needed. Qualifications Valid California Clinical Social Worker license. California Board of Behavioral Science Supervision Training certification. Three (3) years of professional‑level administrative and/or clinical experience within a mental health or substance use disorder treatment program or forensic justice involved program. Experience includes development of programs, policies and procedures; compliance/quality management; data/legislative analysis; monitoring contracts; or budget/fiscal administration. Experience managing crisis situations in the field and working in a co‑located setting. Attachment of current license and proof of Supervision Training Course approval required. Conditions of Employment Background investigation including DOJ/FBI fingerprint check and drug screening. Travel throughout the County may be required.
