Weekdays with rotating weekends (up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Rotating holidays. Float assignment may be required within units of equivalent or lower acuity, typically no more than once every 4 weeks. Highlights: Cardiovascular ICU specializing in cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, ECMO, and complex cardiovascular procedures Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 ensuring quality patient care and manageable workload Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility 30-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Advanced equipment and procedures including ECMO, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and ventricular assist devices 36 hours of orientation provided to ensure successful transition Requirements: Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred Epic EMR experience required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, vasoactive drip titration, and ventilator management Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a progressive cardiovascular ICU caring for complex cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, heart and lung transplant recipients, and patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support.
