Details Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) 36 hours per week Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift) Rotating holiday coverage required Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license, Ohio or compact, required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred Skilled in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz/PA line monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines Experience with post cardiac surgery care, CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and IABP Experience with arterial line management, central line care, and CVP monitoring Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Teaching hospital experience preferred 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or Supervisor; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care Work in a teaching hospital environment Complete mandatory Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if outside Ohio Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration, limited to 7 days or less American Traveler Job ID P-743890.
