Exciting Opportunity for an Orthopedic Surgeon

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opening for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to become a part of our Orthopedic department in Mason City, Iowa. Our organization is a physician-owned, multi-specialty group dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare.

Opportunity Highlights

• Join a collaborative team of 7 surgeons, 7 Physician Assistants, and a specialized occupational therapist focused on hand therapy.
• Participate in a call schedule of 36 days per year, with the potential for additional compensated call.
• Primary call responsibilities are managed by Physician Assistants.
• Utilize the advanced DaVinci Robot XI for surgical procedures.
• We welcome candidates with expertise in General Orthopedics as well as any subspecialty.
• Your workweek will include both clinic and surgical days.
• Surgeries will be performed at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, and at our Ambulatory Surgery Center located on the same campus.
• Engage in outreach opportunities at one of our 7 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
• Our primary service area serves approximately 260,000 residents.
• We are a Level III Trauma Center equipped with helicopter services.

• Annual salary of $661,826 plus production incentives (2-year guarantee).
• A generous bonus package totaling $200,000.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is required.
• Completion of a relevant residency program demonstrating competency as a physician; board certification or eligibility is necessary.
• Must be able to secure medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and a Federal DEA Certificate.
