Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current national certification as a COTA
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain it prior to the start date
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable approach to different learning environments
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize case assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services per students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educators, and other school staff
- Support student participation in daily learning activities and routines
- Document sessions and progress towards IEP goals accurately and promptly
- Travel within the district as needed to serve multiple campuses/sites
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet the needs of diverse student populations
