Product Manager

Role Description

8x8 is seeking a Product Manager to own two of the most consequential domains in our Finance Technology organization: ERP, Billing & Core Finance Platforms and Revenue & Monetization Platforms. This is not a traditional enterprise IT PM role. You will be the product conscience of systems that directly govern how 8x8 prices, bills, recognizes revenue, and closes its books.

You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, and go-to-market — translating complex monetization requirements into system architecture decisions, driving billing accuracy, and enabling the organization to move faster on pricing changes without sacrificing revenue integrity. You will work closely with the Director of Finance Technology and partner daily with functional leads across ERP, billing, RevRec, and integrations.

What You'll Own

• ERP, Billing & Core Finance
  • Own the product roadmap for 8x8's billing engine (Logisense), order-to-cash workflows, and ERP systems (Netsuite GL/AP/AR).
  • Drive billing accuracy initiatives — reduce invoice defect rate, credit memo volume, and billing reruns through structured product improvements.
  • Partner with the Billing/O2C functional specialist and ERP functional analyst to translate Finance requirements into prioritized engineering backlog.
  • Define and track KPIs: invoice defect rate, ERP uptime, days-to-close trend, % automated journal entries, cash application automation.
• Revenue & Monetization Platforms
  • Own the product roadmap for pricing architecture, subscription lifecycle logic, and RevRec systems.
  • Drive monetization agility — reduce time to launch new pricing models and enable pricing changes without external consultants.
  • Ensure revenue integrity across the billing-to-RevRec pipeline, targeting zero restatement incidents and minimizing billing-to-RevRec variance.
  • Support tax automation extension and evaluate pricing system requirements for potential M&A integration scenarios.
  • Define and track KPIs: time to launch new pricing models, RevRec restatement incidents, billing-to-RevRec variance rate, post-release defect rate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product management, with at least 3 years owning enterprise finance systems — ERP, billing engines, or revenue recognition platforms in a SaaS company.
• Hands-on experience with Netsuite (GL/AP/AR) or equivalent ERP, and a billing engine (Logisense, Zuora, or similar) — able to speak to configuration tradeoffs, not just outcomes.
• Fluency in order-to-cash and lead-to-cash flows — you can diagram the journey from a quote in Salesforce to a posted journal entry in the ERP without prompting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and how RevRec system configuration drives compliance — you understand allocation logic, performance obligations, and restatement risk.
• Track record of driving billing accuracy and close efficiency improvements through system change, not just process workarounds.
• Experience partnering directly with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations stakeholders — you speak their language and can translate business constraints into engineering requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with SFDC CPQ or equivalent quoting/pricing configuration.
• Familiarity with tax integration systems (Avalara, Vertex) and how configuration changes propagate through billing and ERP.
• Experience working in a hybrid matrix org model with matrixed engineering resources.

The Team You'll Work With

You'll join Finance Technology organization — a lean, high-accountability team of functional domain leads, billing and ERP specialists, and matrixed engineering across application, integration, data, and AI disciplines. The team is mid-transformation: several major platform migrations are underway (Logisense, CPAAS billing, Paymentus/Gaviti interface), and the roadmap over the next 12 months is ambitious.

This role is a critical hire. You will bring product rigor to a domain that has historically been led by strong functional operators — and you will raise the bar on roadmap predictability, delivery accountability, and executive stakeholder communication.

Salary Ranges

$130,400.00 - $195,600.00
