Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join a dedicated and collaborative behavioral health team in Shelton, CT .

This full-time, permanent opportunity offers a collegial practice environment with a strong emphasis on integrated care, clinical support, and work-life balance. Physicians will provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic oversights.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and supportive psychotherapy.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote preventive mental health strategies and community wellness efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
• Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred, but new graduates and residents are welcome to apply.
