And to make it matter. Job Description The Senior Business Manager is a key financial partner to account management, project management, and agency operations within a healthcare advertising agency. This role manages day-to-day financial operations for assigned client accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis. The Senior Manager acts as a trusted advisor to internal teams, translating financial insights into clear guidance that supports strong client performance and agency growth. This position serves as both an operational steward and a strategic contributor, with responsibility for mentoring Analysts and upholding financial best practices across accounts. Responsibilities Client Financial Management Own the development, management, and tracking of client budgets, scopes, and fee structures in collaboration with account and project management teams. Monitor financial performance across accounts by preparing and reviewing revenue, burn, utilization, and variance reports. Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for assigned clients, identifying risks and opportunities and presenting insights to account and finance leadership. Oversee monthly revenue recognition and accrual processes; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with agency accounting standards. Scope, Contract & Pricing Management Review SOWs, estimates, and change orders for financial accuracy, proper assumptions, and alignment with agency pricing strategy. Partner with account leads to develop pricing recommendations, rate cards, fee structures, and client‑facing financial rationale. Track potential scope changes, budget shifts, and financial risks; proactively communicate impacts and escalation points to leadership. Support contract discussions by providing financial analysis and ensuring adherence to internal policies. Billing, Compliance & Financial Operations Oversee billing preparation and accuracy for assigned accounts; work closely with billing and AR teams to ensure timely invoicing and collections. Maintain required financial compliance documentation, including healthcare/pharma‑specific review processes and audit requirements. Support internal audits and client financial reviews by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation. Drive operational discipline by maintaining accurate project structures, coding, and financial setups within agency systems. Cross‑Functional Partnership Serve as a financial advisor to account, project management, and creative operations teams, offering clear, actionable insights to support decision‑making. Translate financial data into digestible recommendations for non‑financial stakeholders. Collaborate with resource management to ensure staffing plans align with scope, budget, and profitability goals. Represent the finance team in client or internal meetings as needed, providing guidance on financial best practices. Team Development & Leadership Provide day‑to‑day guidance and oversight to Business Managers, reviewing their work and supporting their skill development. Help establish team standards related to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial communication. Act as a point of escalation for financial questions on assigned accounts, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and accurately. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field 4–7 years of agency finance, client finance, FP&A, or accounting experience Strong financial modeling and analytical skills Experience with SOWs, pricing, and profitability management Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non‑financial partners Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel‑based reporting Additional Information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
