We are looking for a Bookkeeper Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our clients. This bookkeeper accountant will work primarily with our residential real estate clients, keeping the books for many housing associations and apartment buildings. Experience with high volume tax preparation is a plus to assist the team during tax season. Flexible with hybrid work from home schedule/in office after first 3-6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly books for 50+ clients from management reports
- Handle communication with clients if issues or questions arise
- Check accuracy of reports from copy of paid bills/checks from client
- Reconcile year end books and prepare year end books for partner review
- Assist with administrative duties during tax season
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- 4+ year accounting degree
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- In-depth understanding of accounting principals
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with tax return prep is a bonus
