Operations Manager - New Gym Opening!

Operations Manager EōS Fitness is a bold and upbeat fitness company dedicated to creating loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners. This role reports to the District Operations Manager and oversees the Service team to achieve operational excellence across the gym. Position Purpose Lead, coach, and train the Service team to create an inviting atmosphere, provide exceptional service to members and guests, and act as the central hub for gym information. Responsibilities Drive an elevated member experience by listening to and addressing member needs. Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, including kids club, front desk, and janitorial personnel. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures clearly to staff. Provide constructive feedback on performance. Ensure high‑quality customer service by handling concerns and resolving issues promptly. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and certification requirements. Oversee facility maintenance and cleanliness, including equipment and common areas. Collaborate with Sales, Fitness, Facilities, and Marketing teams to improve gym performance and uphold brand standards. Monitor and order inventory such as fitness equipment, cleaning supplies, and retail products. Manage emergencies by communicating calmly and clearly with staff and members. Qualifications 2–3 years of operations management experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and vendors. 3–4 years of customer service experience. Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry (a plus). Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels. Strong attention to detail, systematic problem‑solving, and good time‑management and record‑keeping. Proficient MS Office skills. Embraces and demonstrates the company’s core values. Requirements Successful completion of a background check. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. In‑depth knowledge of current company policies and SOPs. Ability to work in a gym setting, move freely in club floors and rooms, and communicate with employees, members, and the public. Ability to access and operate company computer systems for documents, data entry, and report review. Physical ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
