Location: Belmont, NC

Start Date: Late 2024

Duration: Full-time

Shift: 24-hour shifts (day/night rounding, on-call from home)

Hours/Week: 40 hours

Employment Type: Permanent

License/Certs: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (must be certified in Neonatal NP, no FNP or PNP accepted)

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of direct NNP experience (excluding RN years)

What You'll Do

Provide expert neonatal care for a level I nursery with approximately 600 deliveries/year

Conduct daily rounds on newborns and participate in deliveries as requested

Stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns requiring higher-level care to NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and fellow NNPs

Take call from home, ensuring continuous coverage and care

Maintain detailed documentation and adherence to neonatal care protocols

Support the development and implementation of care plans for neonates

What You Need

Required:

Valid Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications)

2+ years of recent NNP experience

Ability to work 24-hour shifts and handle call responsibilities

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

Previous experience in neonatal intensive or nursery settings

Experience with neonatal stabilization and transport logistics
