The Front Desk Agent at Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham East Irondale serves as the face of the hotel, delivering warm, helpful, and efficient service to all guests. This role is essential in ensuring a positive first impression and maintaining the guest experience throughout their stay.


Job Summary
As a Front Desk Agent at Hampton Inn by Hilton, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You will deliver exceptional hospitality by providing warm, friendly, and efficient service to ensure guests feel welcomed and appreciated throughout their stay.


Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in hospitality or related field a plus
  • Prior front desk or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with computers and ability to learn hotel software (Hilton PEP experience a plus)
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly, professional attitude at check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay
  • Manage reservations, room assignments, and guest accounts accurately in the hotel’s property management system (PEP)
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely, courteous manner
  • Promote and enroll guests in Hilton Honors loyalty program
  • Process payments and reconcile cash, credit card, and direct bill transactions
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Uphold Hampton Inn brand standards and ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Follow all safety and security procedures as outlined by hotel policy and Hilton brand requirements
  • Assist with light administrative tasks or other duties as assigned by management
