Pay Rate: Up to $63/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available on day 1, 401k and more!Ortho RNJob Summary:Orthopedic nurse specializes in caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, providing pre- and post-operative care, administering medications, assisting with rehabilitation, and education patients and families. Responsibilities:-Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift.-Educate ortho and medical/surgical patients on wound care, proper mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs and any additional patient specific needs.-Coordinate with physician and surgeon partners on the care of ortho and medical/surgical patients.-Set up ortho traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for mobility and wound care.-Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches and other urological devices.Requirements: RN license in state of assignment.BLS (AHA) required.Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience. This is a float pool position must have Trauma 1 and Epic experience required.
