About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg units, including cardiac, spine, and neuro. License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Experience in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro). Epic experience required. Basic Arrhythmia experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: Day and evening, 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, every other weekend and holidays as applicable to operations. Responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients. Recognize and escalate complications, administering appropriate nursing interventions. Demonstrate a commitment to patient and family-centered nursing care. Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and medical teams. Hone interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegate tasks as needed. Expected to float to Neuro and oncology units. Must have experience working in various Med/Surg units. Prior telemetry experience is mandatory. Travelers are required to float as needed. Successful candidates will complete a telemetry exam prior to starting. The exam includes identification of lethal rhythms and questions on heart blocks, with a passing score of 80% or higher. If necessary, travelers will have up to three attempts to pass the telemetry exam. Failure to meet the requirements will result in cancellation of the assignment.
