Inspired by its Italian namesake meaning "half and half," Mezzo Mezzo transitions from a morning coffee shop serving locally roasted coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches to an evening pizzeria with a full-service bar. We proudly serve Spyhouse Coffee, known for its high-quality sourcing and craft roasting. This role is perfect for someone who values hospitality, consistency and great coffee.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare and serve Spyhouse Coffee beverages to brand standards
• Deliver warm, professional service to hotel guests and local customers
• Operate espresso machines, grinders and POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations
• Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing procedures
• Answer guest questions about menu items and coffee offerings
• Uphold hotel service standards and food safety guidelines

What do you bring to the role?

• Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty coffee drinks
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
• Ability to multi-task and self-motivate
• Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers
• Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
