Transactions Attorney for AI Model Training

Apply deep technology-transaction experience to improve AI-driven contract review. In this part-time contractor role you will review, redline, and simulate negotiations on commercial contracts, evaluate model outputs, and help build objective evaluation frameworks that teach AI systems to identify risk and interpret contract language with greater legal judgment. You will work remotely with product and research teams to turn expert legal work into high-quality training and evaluation data.

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises on technology commercial agreements.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing detailed expert feedback to improve model accuracy and precision.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to measure AI performance on contract tasks with consistency and rigor.
• Contribute to playbooks, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product and research teams to refine data, instructions, and annotation standards used to train and evaluate models.

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience focused on technology transactions, including negotiating MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, redlining, and negotiation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Analytical ability to translate legal judgment into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments, and a commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Preferred: prior exposure to AI or legal tech projects, and experience at a corporate law firm.

Pay range: $80 to $200 per hour.
