Full Time - Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Ashburn, VA . This role will be responsible for supporting end-to-end U.S. payroll operations, including payroll processing, employee support, payroll reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with UKG Ready , multi-state U.S. payroll, and the ability to independently manage payroll activities with a high degree of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and support end-to-end payroll across multiple states.
• Serve as a key point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions and issues.
• Perform payroll validation, reconciliations, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain employee payroll information, including new-hire setup, changes, deductions, and adjustments.
• Support federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Support W-2 and 1099 processing and year-end payroll activities.
• Utilize UKG Ready for payroll processing, employee maintenance, reporting, and administration.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience processing payroll using UKG Ready .
• Experience with employee setup and maintenance, payroll changes, deductions, adjustments, reporting, and payroll troubleshooting.
• Experience with multi-state payroll .
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll taxes and withholding requirements.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, W-2s, 1099s, and year-end processing.
• Understanding of U.S. payroll compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• ADP experience is a plus , particularly for candidates who have supported payroll system transitions or conversions.

Compensation

$75,000-$80,000 per year. This is the targeted compensation range for this role. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
