Branch Manager

The Branch Manager builds, coaches, develops, leads, and motivates a team that provides excellent client service, analyzes clients' needs, and recommends financial solutions to support clients' financial wellness and goals. The Branch Manager is accountable for branch operations and compliance by guiding the branch team on regulatory procedures, ensuring compliance with operational, security, and audit requirements, and completing branch tasks on time. The Branch Manager leads the team through the Branch Playbook to achieve Branch Goals and focuses on acquiring and growing small business relationships as a market leader in the local community and/or designated business area. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate, and recognizing the impact on their day, personally, professionally, and financially. Engages in outside calling to small business clients in and around the community, delivering the full depth of Key’s products and services and developing centers of influence to identify prospective client referrals with a focus on Small Business. Accountable for growing the business through retention, expansion, and acquisition, and for leading the Branch team to meet activity, behavior, and outcome expectations as well as individual goals. Leads and develops the branch team, ensuring understanding of Key’s products and services, sales and service processes, and the competitive landscape, while instilling Key’s vision and values. Facilitates strong partnerships within the branch and with lines of business, focusing on client acquisition and deepening relationships; effectively manages internal and external COIs. Manages staffing and scheduling of all direct report work, including recruiting, interviewing, selecting, onboarding, training new teammates, and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage. Delivers a consistent, disciplined coaching and performance management process through observational coaching, joint sales calls, growth and development, and the use of training tools. Provides guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal controls, including timely completion of branch operations tasks. Work on Saturdays as directed by management. Performs other duties as assigned; duties may change or be added at any time with or without notice. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required) Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales capacity with demonstrated ability to lead and coach a successful sales team (required) Minimum 3 years of demonstrated small business deposit/credit experience and familiarity with small business operations (required) General understanding of financial statements and concepts (required) Demonstrated understanding of consumer credit including loan-to-value, debt-to-income, and credit reports (required) Demonstrated ability to leverage Centers of Influence (COIs) to promote business (required) Demonstrated experience influencing business partners across departments (required) Strong communication and public speaking skills (required) Licenses and Certifications Notary License (preferred) Skills Lead by example to deliver distinctive service and build a high-performing team with enduring client relationships. Proactive branch leadership with structured client meetings and quality conversations that support clients' financial wellness goals. Provide guidance and coaching, and develop individual development plans for team members. Build and maintain connections with clients, partners, and stakeholders to acquire new clients and retain existing ones. Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales through market research and strategy implementation. Develop and execute strategies to grow market presence and client base by exploring new markets and products. Collaborate with external partners to achieve mutual goals and manage ongoing relationships. Manage day-to-day branch operations, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain security, and keep accurate records. Make decisions regarding client concerns, teammate conflicts, and operations; assess risks in projects involving large sums of money. Lead with strategic thinking to grow revenue and improve branch performance. Set long-term goals and identify growth opportunities. Physical Demands Consumer Retail Management – face-to-face and phone communication with clients; frequent use of hands; occasional bending and lifting from floor height; occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Work Location Category Branch Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $69,000.00 – $105,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and discretionary incentives.
