Locums Neurosurgeon Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon for a locums opportunity in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This position is focused on inpatient and emergency neurosurgical coverage and supports a high-quality regional neurosurgical program. The physician will provide comprehensive care in collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Trauma Services, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary teams.

183 twenty-four-hour shifts per year -Flexible block scheduling available

Continuous 24-hour call coverage

No administrative responsibilities

Shift requirements may be prorated for partial calendar years

Inpatient and emergency neurosurgical coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

The Neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, including:

Evaluation and management of emergent neurosurgical cases

Inpatient neurosurgical consultations and management

Emergency and trauma-related neurosurgical care

Ongoing management of hospitalized neurosurgical patients

Collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Trauma Services, and multidisciplinary teams

Development of treatment plans and coordination of patient care

Providing timely consultation and surgical recommendations for urgent and emergent cases

Requirements

MD or DO degree

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery

Have or are eligible for North Dakota medical licensure

Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
