Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM \n
Setting: 99% Outpatient, 1% Inpatient \n
On-Call: Required (evenings, weekends, holidays)\n

Position Overview \n
\nWe are seeking a Board-Certified Oncologist to provide expert consultation and patient care in a predominantly outpatient clinical setting, with minimal inpatient coverage. The physician will work as part of a multidisciplinary care team, focusing on comprehensive oncology services including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management.\n

Key Responsibilities \n
Clinical Duties (Approx. 90% Direct Patient Care): \n
\n•    Evaluate and manage oncology patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.\n
\n•    Triage consults and coordinate care with primary care and specialty providers.\n
\n•    Conduct comprehensive assessments, order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop treatment plans.\n
\n•    Provide discharge education and continuity of care planning.\n
\n•    Participate in tumor board discussions and other interdisciplinary meetings.\n
\n•    Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.\n
\n
Administrative/Other Duties (Approx. 10%): \n
\n•    Participate in peer reviews, professional practice evaluations, and quality initiatives.\n
\n•    Maintain required documentation for compliance, credentialing, and audits.\n
\n•    Support coverage needs during staff absences or emergencies (with 2-hour replacement window if unavailable).\n
\n•    Comply with clinical scheduling and patient access standards, including clinic wait times and timely consult completion.\n
\n
On-Call Coverage \n
\n•    Must be available for after-hours phone consultations.\n
\n•    Required to respond within 15 minutes by phone and report on-site within 60 minutes when necessary.\n
\n•    On-call schedule will be coordinated with internal oncology staff.\n
\n•    Overtime compensation applies for callback hours.\n
\n
Licensure & Certification: \n
\n•    Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.\n
\n•    Board Certification in Internal Medicine – Medical Oncology (ABIM).\n
\n•    Current BLS and ACLS certification (or equivalent).\n

\n Education: \n
\n•    MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school.\n
\n•    Proof of education and certifications required.\n
\n
Experience: \n
\n•    Minimum of 2 years clinical oncology experience (inpatient and outpatient preferred).\n
\n•    Prior federal or VA healthcare experience is a plus.\n
\n
Technical Proficiency: \n
\n•    Fluent in spoken and written English.\n
\n•    Familiarity with EMRs and oncology-specific documentation.\n
\n•    Must adhere to facility policies, medical staff bylaws, and quality standards.\n
