Payroll AdministratorThe Payroll Administrator is a detail-oriented and trustworthy member of the finance team, responsible for processing accurate and timely biweekly payroll and managing related tasks, including timekeeping review, payroll records, and payroll tax compliance support. This is a part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule, and it requires handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.Major ResponsibilitiesProcess biweekly payroll accurately and on time, including wage calculations, deductions, and garnishments.Review and reconcile timekeeping records weekly, following up with team members and supervisors to resolve discrepancies.Maintain accurate payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and direct deposit information.Process payroll-related deductions and remittances, including retirement contributions and benefits deductions, in coordination with the Finance & Office Manager, who administers benefits.Support payroll tax filings and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.Respond to team member payroll questions in a timely mannerAssist with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting, as needed.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and internal controls.Leadership RequiredUphold, role model, and hold others accountable to QB mission, vision, and valuesCommunicate effectively with customers, leadership, and team membersSet an example of appropriate ethics, leadership, and safetyOther duties as assignedSafety RequirementsWork with ear protection when necessaryWork in a loud environment when necessaryWork in various temperatures when necessaryWork in a dusty environment when necessaryMaintain and follow proper safety protocolWork Environment/Physical RequirementsOffice environment/desk work on a regular basisModerate/as needed travel to job sites requiredQualificationsExperience:2+ years of payroll processing or related accounting experienceExperience with construction accounting preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.Required Skills :Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, OutlookProficient in payroll and timekeeping software; experience with Foundation Software a plusDemonstrated ability to effectively lead self with limited supervisionStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsHigh level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive informationKnowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements is a plus.Reports ToThis role reports to the Controller.SupervisionThe position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members, however teamwork and direct communication with each other is expected and highly encouraged.SchedulePart-time | Target 15 hours per weekWork hours | Weekly schedule, Tuesday and Wednesday (weekly in-office presence is required, including non-payroll weeks)
