Senior AccountantLHH is partnering with our northside manufacturing and distribution client in their search for a qualified Senior Accountant to add to their growing team. Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee and perform various accounting tasks and financial reporting and analysis, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This position offers tremendous career growth opportunity and competitive compensation/benefits/PTO.Job DescriptionEnsure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAPPerform month-end and year-end close processesAssist with annual financial review including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiriesPrepare journal entries and various cash and credit card account reconciliationsMaintain and update fixed asset classifications and general ledgerMaintain and monitor accounting records of subsidiary transport companyMonitor and manage accruals and prepaidsSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesCollaborate with various teams to improve transactional accuracy and financial procedures and systemsAssist CFO with special projects, as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track preferred3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; public accounting preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and internal controlsStrong Microsoft Excel skills and possesses the ability to pick up new systems quickly; NetSuite preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceAnnual bonus401(k) with company matchPTO and paid holidays
