Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianAmsted Automotive, Shelby Township, is seeking an experienced 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for manufacturing equipment maintenance and facility maintenance as outlined below.Repair and maintenance of building, presses, and equipment throughout plantOperation of forklift and man liftResponsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly, and press departmentsResponsible for participation in press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement of press set-up timeAdhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practicesResponsible for all PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipmentRequired to follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in the work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedure, work order proceduresServes in the capacity of wastewater handler commensurate with completion trainingOther duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Launch Reliability Manager and Maintenance SupervisorMay receive direction from General Production Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Team LeadersAdapt and promote lean manufacturing principalsActive participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetingsSupport the Company's Goals and ObjectivesExcellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequentlyWork may require extended periods of sitting standing, lifting, bending, stooping and performing repetitive motion tasksOccasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fansWork is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noiseMust be able to work necessary overtime if requiredEducation: High School or better. Technical/other training or better.
