Registered Nurse | RN | Illinois Assignment Overview

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the MedSurg Women's Care Unit. This role requires skilled care for patients with common diagnoses such as hysterectomy, mastectomy, postpartum care, and general medical/surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in MedSurg, with strong skills in NG and foley placements, blood administration, and management of heparin and insulin drips.

• Charting System: EPIC
• Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Floating Requirements: May float to other general medical units
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
• Number of Openings: 1

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the MedSurg Women's Care Unit
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed
• Manage heparin and insulin drips; titrate as needed
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EPIC system
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about care and treatments
• Adhere to departmental protocols and policies

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Illinois Nursing License
• 2 years of experience in MedSurg
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• Experience with NG placement, foley placement, blood administration, heparin, and insulin drips
