Job DescriptionThe Opportunity\nAs aTrust Officer for MassMutual Private Wealth & Trust you will be responsible for administering a diverse book of trust and personal wealth management accounts for high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations. This role provides customized, concierge-level client service by serving as the primary point of contact for the client relationship in conjunction with their existing financial professionals. Our associates have a passion for learning and work in a cross-functional style environment supporting our clients, financial professionals, and other members of the broader department.\n\nThe Impact\n\n \n Maintain a diverse book of private wealth clients and provide daily oversight while operating as the relationship manager and main point of contact.\n \n Partner with clients’ existing financial professionals to review and assess estate planning, tax planning, and investment needs.\n \n Facilitate scheduled meetings with clients and financial professionals to review and discuss their portfolio objectives and any changes in financial needs or circumstances.\n \n Analyze client inquiries and requests, utilizing product and fiduciary knowledge as well as available resources and support teams to provide appropriate response/solution.\n \n As part of a Concierge Team, collaborate with other Relationship Managers and Service Specialists to share industry knowledge and best practices, provide back-up coverage, and identify process improvements.\n \n Implement the account’s investment strategy and oversee the long-term objectives as defined in the Investment Policy Statement. Interact with Investment sub-advisors to plan for cash and liquidity needs, make routine bill payments, and implement investment and tax strategies.\n \n Seek new solutions by coordinating with internal business partners (Investments, Fiduciary, Tax, Operations, Compliance) and external vendors to ensure high quality, comprehensive customer service is provided.\n \n Maintain current knowledge of personal trust and investment products to ensure accurate handling of administrative responsibilities\n \n Consult with governing committees (Trust Administration, Investment, Risk) as needed to effectively administer accounts in accordance with appropriate guidelines, procedures, and regulations.\n \n Exercise the fiduciary standard of care to always act in the best interest of our client.\n \n Participate in department huddles and problem-solving sessions, providing updates on industry trends, service opportunities and different initiatives.\n\n\nThe Minimum Qualifications \n\n \n Bachelor’s degreeora High School diploma with 6+ years' experience in financial services or trust administration\n \n 3+ years' experience in financial services or trust administration\n \n 3+ years Trust Administration Relationship Management experience\n \n Willingness to obtain CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor)\n \n Occasional travel required for client meetings, industry conferences, and business events\n \n Due to the nature of the position, as part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprinted background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. \n\n\nThe Ideal Qualifications\n\n \n Designation of CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor) at time of application\n \n Working knowledge of fiduciary income taxation, trust investment management principles, and Trust/ Probate law\n \n Special Needs Trust experience\n \n Strong communication and presentation skills\n \n Experience with broker/dealer or registered investment advisor (RIA) firms\n \n Experience with trust administration and trust accounting platforms\n \n Knowledge of private banking products and services\n\n\nWhat to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team\n\n \n Regular meetings with the Private Client Management Team\n \n Focused one-on-one meetings with your manager\n \n Networking opportunities including access to Asian, Hispanic/Latinx, African American, women, LGBTQIA+, veteran and disability-focused Business Resource Groups\n \n Access to learning contenton Degreed and other informational platforms\n \n Your ethics and integrity will be valued by a company with a strong and stable ethical business with industry leading pay and benefits\n\n\n\n#LI-SB1MassMutual is an equal employment opportunity employer.
