Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and develop personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs.
\n
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions in both telehealth and in-person settings, ensuring adherence to all patient confidentiality standards including HIPAA regulations.

• Foster therapeutic alliances with clients to encourage open communication and trust during therapy sessions.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, or EMDR to address mental health issues.
\n
• Document treatment progress and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR), tracking client interactions and treatment plans.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and supervision opportunities to enhance collaboration and share insights with colleagues.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the immediate safety and well-being of clients.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies for ongoing support outside of therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will encompass a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds. You will cater to clients experiencing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral concerns. A focus on providing culturally competent services will be essential, as you work to understand and respond sensitively to the varying cultural needs of the families and individuals you engage with.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program specializing in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
\n
• An active, unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to provide bilingual therapy services in Spanish and English.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health setting, working directly with children, adults, and families.
\n
• A demonstrated capacity for cultural sensitivity and adaptability to different family dynamics.
\n
• Proficiency with EHR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant digital tools for documentation and communication.
\n
• A valid Driver's License and car insurance are required for attending in-person meetings or sessions.
\n
• Availability to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day is essential.
\n
• Commitment to regular attendance and punctuality for all scheduled sessions.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training or experience in therapy related to trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.

• Experience working within a community health setting or similar environment is advantageous.
\n
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively with a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n

West Valley Psychiatric Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional compensation options are available based on performance and client caseload.
