Production Supervisor - Stamping Dept

Pay: Hourly or Salaried (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary Our client is seeking a motivated, hands-on Stamping Supervisor to lead our progressive die-stamping operations. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage department personnel across shifts, coordinate production schedules, and ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate stamping department personnel.

• Operations: Develop production schedules to meet customer demand and coordinate with the scheduling department.

• Technical Support: Assist mechanics and die-setters with tooling setups, changeovers, and repairs.

• Inventory & Safety: Maintain adequate press tooling inventory and enforce all safety protocols around high-speed equipment.

• Communication: Bridge cross-shift communication regarding updates, issues, and goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior supervisory experience is required (leadership certifications are a plus).

• Technical Skills: Sophisticated knowledge of progressive die-stamping processes; proficiency with computers.

• Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; ability to operate a fork truck (or willingness to learn).

• Skills: Excellence at  trouble-shooting, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates production with scheduling department.

• Develops schedule needed to satisfy customer demand for product.

• Ensures all department procedures are followed correctly.
• Orders press tooling in a timely manner to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Coordinates communication between all three shifts regarding problems, special cleanups, and complaints.
• Assists mechanics and die setters with changeovers and repairs.
• Operates a fork truck as required.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
