This is essential for the complexity, pace and technical depth of the role. We Do Group are supporting a rapidly scaling AI platform used by major global professional services firms. The company processes more than 1 billion work activities every year and is transforming how organisations understand and optimise their most valuable resource. Time. You will be the first Controller, creating the entire accounting function from day 1. Big scope with real visibility and impact. The business now has around 180 people, strong financial backing and a technology first culture built for scale. The role Own and lead all accounting operations including general ledger, revenue recognition, AP, AR, payroll and compliance Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Lead the annual audit and manage external audit relationships Ensure compliance across federal, state and local reporting Implement and improve accounting systems, controls and reporting processes Drive automation and efficiency across all accounting workflows Work closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Partner with Legal, HR and Operations to ensure smooth financial processes Your profile Experienced accounting leader with strong technical foundations Background in AI, SaaS or B2B Deep knowledge of US GAAP Comfortable building processes and reporting from the ground up Systems minded with interest in AI, automation and modern finance tools Strong communicator able to influence senior stakeholders Hands on, detail focused and able to thrive in a fast paced scale up Foundational leadership role with real ownership and influence High growth AI business backed by global investors Strong package including base salary, equity and high quality company off sites Clear progression as the business scales towards future ambitions Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Finance, Analyst, and Accounting/Auditing Industries Technology, Information and Media, IT System Custom Software Development, and IT System Data Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at We Do Group by 2x Get notified about new Controller jobs in New York, United States .
