Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, Wisconsin. The RN will provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit, supporting critical care needs including stroke care, cerebral monitoring, and advanced therapies. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour Nights; minimum 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License; Basic Life Support (BLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Associate Degree or Certificate; minimum of 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN); Bachelors Degree; Electronic Patient Care Information (EPIC) charting experience.
• Responsibilities: Provide care for Medical-Surgical ICU patients, including stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, vents, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and some continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) patients. Manage independently and complete tasks timely while adapting to changes in the unit.
• Additional Information: Float rotation may be required between Medical-Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU units, with possible assignments to other critical care units and other inpatient units as needed. Picking up call is permitted but not required; if picking up call, response time is 1 hour. Low census may occur in hour increments during the contract period.
