Description:

• Under the general supervision of the Program Director and Site Program Coordinator, the FCCH/EHS/PI Program Associate provides detail-oriented administrative and program support and executes the day-to-day operational activities. This position supports the administrative work in the offices of the agency in the Waukegan or Brighton Park community.
• Provide detail-oriented administrative and program and executes the day-to-day operational activities.
• Support the administrative and program work in the offices of the agency in the Waukegan and/or Brighton Park.
• Assist the program coordinators to meet deadlines and ensure successful programming to meet deliverables.
• Responsible for collecting data, reporting, and event support monthly.
• Complete intake and assessment when needed to support incoming participants.
• Function effectively in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Complete projects with minimal supervision while updating Program Director and/or Coordinator on progress of tasks.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
• Interacts with external callers, visitors, and clients in addition to all levels of staff.
• Handles correspondence, postage, and general office duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School education required; Associate degree preferred.

Experience:

• At least two to four years of responsible administrative and program support experience, specifically supporting Early Head Start, home visiting, family child care home, and/or prevention initiative models.

Other:

• Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals, and community groups.
• Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Great integrity and a proven ability to operate as a team player.

Key Competencies:

• Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services into an online database.
• Bilingual/Bi-cultural in English and Spanish preferred.  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
• Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
• Frequently moves desks, chairs, tables, easels, and children's toys.
• At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and event needs.
• Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
