ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for a school-based, contracted position near Redding, CA for the 26/27 school semester. This position will work closely with teachers and other school staff to provide students with the assistance they need to learn, participate, and thrive in the school environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Support students in a Special Education classroom from Pre-K through 8th grade.
- Assist students with classroom activities, academic tasks, and daily routines.
- Provide individualized support based on student needs and teacher direction.
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student development and success.
- Follow individualized student plans and classroom procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or in a Special Education setting is preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with children.
- Ability to work with students ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade.
- Must be comfortable assisting with toileting and diapering as needed.
- Must successfully pass a required background check.
