ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR, WRITING & COMMUNICATIONS

Job Description Stevens Institute of Technology is inviting applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Writing and Communications. Responsibilities Teach HASS 103 Writing and Communications Colloquium, exposing students to academic discourse, rhetorical strategies, textual analysis, research skills, and public speaking. Adhere to the syllabus designed by the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) and follow the HASS faculty handbook policies. Attend all class sessions and hold requisite office hours. Grade assignments and provide timely feedback to students. Complete all assessment and reporting requirements. Meet with HASS first‑year faculty several times during the semester to review course progress and receive updates. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience teaching writing to first‑year students. Master’s degree or higher (including ABD) in a humanities field with a demonstrated interest in first‑year writing.
