Application Development Lead

Role Description

Ryder is looking for an Application Development Lead who is a technical expert that provides leadership in the design, development, and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products, and services within a computing systems environment. This role involves:

• Providing solutions to technical issues and ensuring development schedules are met.
• Enhancing, remediating, transforming, modernizing, and supporting application systems and platforms across various technologies.
• Engaging with solution architects, technical leads, security, infrastructure, and other roles to drive successful delivery.
• Identifying impact, resolving technical barriers, and providing executive updates.
• Ensuring process adherence for security, audit compliance, operational, and technology improvements.
• Ensuring application solutions are designed, deployed, and operating on secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Transportation, or Business (Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).
• Master's Degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree, Preferred).
• 5 years or more in application development or technology management OR related experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• MS-SQL/SSIS-SSRS Expert.
• Warehouse Management Systems Advanced.
• C#/.Net/ASP Beginner.
• Web Services/API Beginner.
• Manhattan SCALE / SCI Intermediate (Preferred).
• Integration Software using ANSI X12, XML, and Database Tables Intermediate (Preferred).

Requirements

• Strong technical aptitude with skills in configuration management, data management, cloud solutions, information management, network security, IT architecture, infrastructure design, systems integration, and systems life-cycle management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
