We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to take ownership of the back-of-house operations for an exciting full-service restaurant concept. This is a great opportunity for a strong kitchen leader who enjoys building a team, training and developing people, and being actively involved in day-to-day operations.


This is a heavily scratch kitchen, so we are looking for someone who understands high-volume food production, recipe execution, food safety, inventory control, and creating consistency. While this position's primary responsibility is the BOH, this is a true management role. The right person will be comfortable interacting with guests, supporting the front of house, working with vendors, and serving as Manager on Duty when needed.


What You'll Do

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and production of all menu items according to company standards
• Train, coach, develop, and directly supervise line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and food runners
• Ensure recipes, portioning, plating, presentation, and ticket-time standards are consistently met
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business needs and budgetary goals
• Complete weekly inventory and oversee ordering, storage, rotation, freshness, and appropriate product levels
• Monitor food cost, waste, production, and proper product utilization
• Conduct line checks, temperature checks, and food-safety inspections
• Maintain HACCP standards and proper food rotation, preparation, and storage procedures
• Ensure the kitchen and food-storage areas meet company cleanliness standards and all health-code requirements
• Oversee kitchen equipment cleanliness, temperature standards, preventative maintenance, and required logs
• Ensure equipment issues and maintenance needs are addressed promptly
• Help create a strong kitchen culture focused on accountability, teamwork, training, and retention
• Support the overall guest experience and confidently interact with guests when needed
• Serve as Manager on Duty with responsibility for overall restaurant operations
• Partner closely with the General Manager to execute operational goals and restaurant standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous Kitchen Manager, BOH Manager, Sous Chef, or comparable restaurant leadership experience
• Strong preference for full-service, scratch-kitchen experience
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment , ideally $60K+ in weekly sales or comparable production volume
• Strong training and team-development skills
• Ability to learn recipes and standards and effectively teach them to others
• Strong knowledge of food safety, inventory, ordering, production, labor, and kitchen operations
• A hands-on leadership style - this is not a desk-management position
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with both BOH and FOH teams
• Guest-focused mentality and professional presentation
• Ability to lead independently while working closely with the General Manager
• Opening experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and remain active throughout the shift
