About the Position

Job Title

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room (OR)

Location

Sioux City, IA | Acute Care – Level 3 Trauma Center

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Perform scrub technologist duties across a range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, robotics, ENT, and gynecology
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the department

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required
• NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification – required
• Active American Heart Association BLS – required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS – required
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification – required
• Active Epic EMR experience – required
• Prior travel experience in the OR – required
• Discipline-specific skills checklist (Operating Room / Surgical Tech / Certified Surgical Tech / Scrub Tech) – required
• 1 Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years – required
• Valid Driver's License – required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license address)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency in spine surgical procedures
• Experience and proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery
• Broad multi-specialty OR experience including orthopedics, general, ENT, and gynecology
