Principal Technical Writer

Leading the creation and management of high-quality technical documentation, the full-time Principal Technical Writer will collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content while working remotely from the United States or Canada. Key responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of product user guides, release notes, and other technical documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product functionality and create clear documentation Establish documentation standards and manage cross-functional documentation initiatives for multiple products Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience 10-15 years of relevant experience in technical writing for complex software applications Proven expertise in creating comprehensive technical documentation with minimal existing specifications Strong proficiency with documentation and graphics tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign Experience collaborating effectively with technical and functional stakeholders in software development environments Virtual Vocations Inc
