School Outreach and Educational Programs Manager

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Full-Time, On-Site)

Travel: Approximately 30%, including travel within the tri-state area to support workshops and outreach efforts where new business opportunities are identified

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven professional to join our team as  a School Outreach and Educational Programs Manager. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoys balancing hands-on program coordination with strategic growth initiatives.

You will lead school outreach efforts, manage workshop delivery, and support business development activities, including RFPs and partnerships while ensuring high-quality program execution and compliance.

Summary:

School Outreach & Program Coordination

• Plan and manage professional development and parent engagement workshops
• Serve as the primary point of contact for school partners
• Coordinate schedules, materials, logistics, and communications
• Ensure a high-quality experience for schools, educators, and participants
• Coordinate and support Educational Consultants (scheduling, onboarding, contracts, invoices)
• Assist with program development and continuous improvement
• Provide technical and logistical support for in-person and virtual workshops

Business Development & RFP Support

• Support new partnership development with schools and districts
• Assist with RFPs and proposals (data collection, writing support, deadlines)
• Track outreach efforts and contribute to growth strategy
• Marketing & Engagement
• Create basic marketing materials (flyers, links, QR codes)
• Represent the organization at events and outreach activities

Compliance & Administration

• Manage program tracking, data, and reporting systems (i.g.: Epicenter)
• Ensure programs meet regulatory and contractual requirements
• Manage documentation, reporting, and board-related materials
• Assist with Pathways Academy compliance and operations
• Support school reauthorization and board documentation
• Assist Pathways Academy compliance duties
• Cross-train on Detroit board governance responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Experience coordinating programs, workshops, or operations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving skills
• Experience with RFPs, school partnerships, or education programs is a plus

Tech Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in commonly used business and communication platforms. This includes working knowledge of  Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook) for reporting, data tracking, and document management. The candidate should be comfortable using  virtual meeting and collaboration tools , including  Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams , as well as familiarity with  Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)for shared collaboration. The ability to quickly adapt to new systems and effectively utilize technology to support communication, data management, and operational efficiency is essential.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred OR equivalent experience (4+ years)
• Background in education programs, compliance, RFPs, operations, and/or school partnerships strongly preferred
