Role Overview

We are seeking a Healthcare Care Coordination Specialist | Pre-Service Advocate to help members access healthcare services before treatment is delivered. In this role, you will coordinate care, research insurance benefits, communicate with healthcare providers, and help ensure members receive timely access to appropriate services.

This position works closely with members, medical providers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment where organization, accuracy, and strong communication skills are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Research healthcare service options using care navigation tools and internal systems
• Coordinate services such as MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, physical therapy, surgeries, and other medical appointments
• Contact healthcare providers by phone, email, and fax to confirm availability, services, and requirements
• Review medical documentation and send clinical information when needed
• Research benefit plans and provide accurate coverage information to members
• Assist with arranging care when standard network options are unavailable
• Communicate with members daily through phone and email
• Manage multiple cases at the same time while maintaining attention to detail
• Follow established processes and guidelines while working independently after training
• Partner with internal teams and healthcare providers to resolve issues and support member needs

Pay, Schedule(REQUIRED AVAILABILITY) & Logistics

• Pay: $21.00/hour
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Location: Tempe, AZ
• Work Setting: On-site
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Start Date: June 2026

RequirementsMust-Have Req Info

• Experience in a healthcare administrative, insurance support, patient services, medical office, hospital, or similar healthcare environment
• Experience reviewing medical documentation and coordinating with healthcare providers
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable making outbound calls and corresponding through email
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to research information and determine appropriate next steps
• Proficiency with data entry and working within multiple systems
• Ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance plans
• Experience supporting healthcare benefits or care coordination processes
• Experience working in high-volume customer service or healthcare operations environments

Work Authorization

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
