CLO Client Management Team Lead

Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid Locations: Charlotte, NC | Boston, MA | Chicago, IL | Houston, TX

A leading global financial institution is seeking a CLO Client Management Team Lead to oversee a team supporting Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) and Corporate Trust clients. This leadership role will serve as a key relationship manager for asset managers and structured finance clients while driving service excellence, operational efficiency, and team performance across a growing CLO platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Client Managers supporting CLO transactions and client relationships.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client, trustee, and deal administration issues.
• Manage client relationships throughout the CLO lifecycle, including onboarding, ongoing transaction support, restructurings, refinancings, and terminations.
• Partner with operations, trustees, legal teams, and asset managers to deliver exceptional client service.
• Drive business growth, portfolio expansion, and revenue objectives while maintaining strong service levels.
• Monitor team workloads, staffing needs, training initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
• Maintain oversight of portfolio pipelines and client activity while supporting strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of CLO, Corporate Trust, structured finance, syndicated loan, or fixed income experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong understanding of CLO structures, trustee responsibilities, deal administration, and client relationship management.
• Experience supporting asset managers, institutional investors, and structured finance transactions.
• Knowledge of syndicated loans, credit agreements, indentures, custodial agreements, and related legal documentation.
• Excellent communication, client management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Corporate Trust or trustee services background.
• CLO administration and client management leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of structured finance transaction documentation.
• Experience with platforms such as Solvas, WSO, CDO Suite, Salesforce, or similar systems.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
