We lead gamer research, portfolio strategy, product definition, and supplier alignment. To achieve this, we work cross-functionally on technical matters with other departments including Engineering, CTO, Procurement, Industrial Design, and Marketing to bring the vision of our products to life.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact on gamers as a Product Planner on the Alienware Product Management Team in our Client Solutions Group.You Will: Own the Product: Define a multiyear vision for one or more Alienware product lines – gaming laptops, desktops, or both – and own the product definition from concept through launch. Write PRDs, set success metrics (performance, acoustics, reliability, customer satisfaction, and revenue) and be accountable for the outcomes of your product. Build business cases that deliver efficient coverage of the gaming market, align to Dell’s business goals, and grow Alienware’s share in premium gaming.Build the Right System: Drive system-level decisions across CPU/GPU, memory, storage, high-refresh displays, thermals, keyboards, and lighting. Balance performance, TDP, acoustics, weight, and battery life to deliver best-in-class frame rates and responsiveness. Continuously partner with silicon and component suppliers to stay ahead of gaming technology trends and shape their roadmaps to align with the trade-offs you’re making on your product.Drive Decisions: Lead and align cross-functional teams – including engineering, procurement, and design – toward a unified product vision with clear priorities. Help navigate a dynamic gaming technology landscape with rapidly evolving silicon cycles, game engine demands, and player expectations.Gather Market & Customer Insight: Leverage insights from regional sales teams, the gaming community, esports partners, reviewers, and dedicated research to prioritize investment opportunities within your product. Review competitive teardowns, benchmarks, and market analysis to understand the why behind gamer asks.Tell the Story: Help build the launch narrative that brings your vision to life with gamers, media, and sales. Partner with marketing to identify the key differentiators – performance, thermals, design, and the Alienware experience – that set your product apart from the competition.Display Excellent Communication: Deliver concise, executive-ready updates and presentations; frame options, trade-offs, and clear recommendations with data. Lead sales, media, and customer engagements to articulate your product vision and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders.Operate like an Owner: Identify issues early, simplify where possible and make the call. When data is ambiguous, create clarity with the tools you have and move with speed. Essential Requirements 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in product management including the launch of at least three flagship hardware products as the directly accountable product manager; gaming or enthusiast PC experience strongly preferred.Deep system understanding across x86 CPUs, discrete GPUs, memory technology, thermal design, high-refresh-rate displays and storage devices.Strong working knowledge of gaming display and graphics technologies, including high-refresh-rate and variable refresh rate (VRR/G-SYNC/FreeSync) displays, HDR and OLED panels, GPU software features such as upscaling and frame generation, and the platform features that drive in-game performance and latency.Exceptional product sense – can turn gamer insights and competitive teardowns/benchmarks (including in-game FPS, thermal, and acoustic testing) into clear, testable requirements and bold bets within your product.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement product strategies aligned with company vision and gaming market trends.Strong market analysis skills, significant cross-functional collaboration experience and exceptional leadership and communication skills. Nice to have Expertise with gaming-relevant AI features such as upscaling and frame generation, as well as on-device AI and NPU utilization, with familiarity with common gaming and AI benchmarks.Experience with gaming PC requirements like aggressive thermal envelopes, high-TDP GPUs, acoustic tuning, and overclocking.Familiarity with the supply base for GPUs, high-refresh displays, thermal solutions, batteries, and silicon offerings within the PC industry.Global customer exposure across various geographies and segments of the gaming market, and a genuine passion for PC gaming and the gaming community.Compensation​Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
